Southern Colorado’s largest wireless broadband company makes  third major acquisition within 2 years; Announces new Pueblo West facility.

LA JUNTA, COLORADO June 1st, 2017 – SECOM announced closing the purchase of Penrose‐based Vision Broadband, LLC in an all cash transaction.

The acquisition boosts SECOM’s strategic growth plan, having acquired Ark Valley Internet in 2015, DD Wireless in 2016, and grown organically, has more than tripled its customer base in the past 18 months.

The newly enhanced company will leverage their existing fiber optics and fixed wireless platforms into greater economies of scale and higher penetration in an overlapping marketplace which includes Pueblo, Pueblo West, Penrose, Canon City, Florence and Fountain. SECOM already serves Trinidad, Walsenburg, Gardner, La Veta, Westcliffe, La Junta, Lamar, Springfield, Granada, Holly, Las Animas, Fowler, Manzanola, Rocky Ford and a number of other surrounding communities. This acquisition expands SECOM’s footprint up the Highway 115 corridor towards Colorado Springs.

"We are excited to welcome Vision Broadband customers," said Rob Thayer, Chief Marketing Officer. "They will have access to some of the most advanced and reliable high‐speed broadband technologies currently available.”

As a result of the acquisition and accelerated growth curve it’s experiencing due to quality products and customer focus, SECOM also announced the construction of a new sales, service and operations facility in Pueblo West.

SECOM currently has two existing locations within the community and will consolidate them with the newly acquired Penrose staff. The building is expected to open in late fall.

“Service is a core mission and this new facility will enhance that pursuit to the benefit of all current and future customers,” added Jon Saunders, Chief Operations Officer.
